Interesting Little Tid Bit

Kaylynn is soooooooooo funny! She loves to mimick when other people cough. This evening when my father was holding Kaylynn he started to cough. Shorty after, Kaylynn started to cough. Then my mom joined in and began to cough. Kaylynn started to cough again. Then I decided to join in on the fun, and we were all coughing on purpose! I think I have a little drama queen on my hands!

Almost Five Months

I just can't believe it! Kaylynn will be five months in two more days! Time flies when having fun!

Kaylynn's first sippy cup

I thought Kaylynn might enjoy taking a few sips from her sippy cup, but she wasn't much impressed with it as my mom and I were! Kaylynn enjoyed hearing praise as she held her sippy cup for the first time, but I think she still prefers the bottle!

Chillin In The Swing

Kaylynn sure enjoys her swing! It has become part of our morning ritual! She enjoys swinging and chewing on her toy while I lavish a cup of morning coffee!

Playing Around

Kaylynn enjoys playing with her toys! This toy was given to me from a highschool friend that I now work with. Thank goodness for friends passing along baby toys! Kaylynn sure loves to have a variety of toys to play with!

Learning about America's Presidents

One of my favorite things to teach Kaylynn is American History! I absolutely love to read stories about our heritage because she is learning about our history and I am relearning about our history! Some of my favorite lessons as a kindergarten and first grade teacher were to teach the children about the presidents. I have several books about the presidents and a few children cd's that teach all forty three presidents! Kaylynn will indeed benefit from my teacher resources! I love to read this book to Kaylynn when she gives me the opportunity! (Lately, she has been a little fussy when she sees me pull out a book. Reading tends to make her sleepy and she doesn't like to be sleepy! She has also been refusing her bottles because they put her to sleep. I guess she is going through a phase where she fights sleep!) I pray that titeracy becomes an important component of our day! I pray that she has a love of learning like her mother!
