Trading Grunting For Squawking!

My little precious girl loves to squawk like a hyena every night between 6-9pm. Her squawks are quite loud and they are accompanied by a miniature coughing session afterwards. I call her my little drama queen. She has traded in her grunting (see link below) for loud squawks! Anyone else have children that love to squawk?http://kaylynnsmommy.blogspot.com/2008/02/my-babythe-grunting-machine.html

Camping Out

My daughter doesn't like to take many naps. Sometimes it is difficult to find activities to entertain her while she is up all day long! My mom and I made her a tent to entertain her for awhile. She thought it was fun for a good ten minutes, and then she wanted to do something different all over again!

Happy 4months Kaylynn!

Today my baby girl turned four months! She is growing up so fast! She is so precious, a true gift from God! I am so thankful to be her mother!

Homeschooling Lesson: Tummy Time

Kaylynn usually hates tummy time, but today she did a wonderful job of pushing herself up. I guess our homeschooling lessons have paid off! We have been practicing the rolling over motion, and this must have helped her to strengthen her muscles because look how good she can push herself up!

Wonderful Grandma

This is my mother. She watches my daughter while I go to work everyday. I am so fortunate to have my mother watching my child. She helps me so much, and she is terrific with Kaylynn. I learn so much from my mother who is absolutely wonderful with babies!

Sleeping In The Bouncy Chair

My mother watches my little baby girl while I go to work everyday. Sometimes I feel bad for my mother because my daughter fights sleep in the worst way possible. She even refuses bottles because they make her drowsy. We have a terrible time with feeding and sleeping. I guess she couldn't take it any longer and she fell asleep in her bouncy chair! Please feel free and comment if you have any similar struggles. I am an elementary teacher, and I believe in schedules and routines (but I am having a difficult time with my own child!)

Growing Up

My little baby girl is growing up so fast! Tomorrow she will be four months, and she is already wearing clothes for six and nineth month old babies! Time flies when having fun! Before I know it, we will be celebrating her first birthday! I treasure every moment that I can spend with her!

Our Homeschooling Lesson: Rolling Over

Kaylynn will be four months tomorrow! Yeah! My mom and I have been teaching her how to roll over. Since she absolutely hates tummy time, I am concern this will effect when she will learn how to roll over, so I made a game out of rolling over! Kaylynn loves to roll over! She giggles and laughs, and she thinks she has made a huge accomplishment!! She is a very active baby that hates to sleep (because she feels like she is going to miss out on something)....so she enjoys when my mom and I do this activity with her! Please feel free to share when your child learn to roll over!

Boz The Bear

Kaylynn absolutely loves to watch Boz, a Christian version of Barney. I love these videos because they teach colors, shapes, counting and other various educational themes along with Godly morals! Boz centers around a nuclear Christian family that prays before each meal! I wish they made more cartoons like Boz!! If you have any children three or under, perhaps you might want to check out this site!

Tuesday Toot

My Tuesday Toot for this week happened last Friday. School was cancelled, and I got to stay home with my beautiful baby girl! My mother usually watches my daughter during the day while I work, and I feel like I miss out on so much! However, I felt like a super mommy on Friday because I was the one taking care of Kaylynn! We had so much fun!

Smiles & Giggles

Snowbound & Enjoying Every Moment

School was cancelled today! Yeah! I get to be a real mommy today! There is nothing better than being a full time mommy all day long! I love to be the one feeding the baby, burping the baby, changing the baby, and rocking the baby! It breaks my heart to leave her every morning to go to work, but it has to be done! I am fortunate to have my mother watching her and caring for her! However, I am excited to be the one who cares for her today!

Where Is Kaylynn?
