Bug-Eyed Baby!
This morning my daughter woke up for an early morning feeding, and she absolutely refused to go back to sleep! Mama wasn't ready to begin her day at 4am, but Kaylynn poked her cute little bug eyes at me, and illuminated the most beautiful grin! So, mama watch a country singing Elmo DVD with baby Kaylynn at 4am in the morning. After watching the DVD, mama wanted to go back to bed and catch some zzzzzzzzz before heading off to work, so mama put in an ocean wave cd that soothed Kaylynn to sleepytown. I highly recommend every mother to buy an ocean wave cd! The sounds of the ocean put Kaylynn to sleep in a matter of minutes!
Earlybird Gets The Worm
Early mornings are precious to my heart. Occasionally my four month old will get up in the wee hours of the morning for another feeding if she didn't eat well the day before. Today is one of those mornings. She woke me up with her babble and grunts. She rarely cries when she is hungry. She chooses a higher form of communication: grunting. She waits patiently for her bottle to heat up. (She will only drink breastmilk that I pump. She refuses to work for her breastmilk, and she dislikes formula.) While she is waiting for her bottle, I change her diaper. By the time I finish changing her diaper, she is ready for her feeding. Yes, early mornings are dear to my heart. Thank You Dear Lord for blessing me with a wonderful daughter. I am thankful for every precious moment that I can spend with her. She is truly a gift from above.

Moments Like These Are Too Precious
It's moments like these that makes motherhood so enjoyable:
I had just finished giving Kaylynn her night time bottle, and I thought she was asleep for the night. But, Kaylynn had a different plan. Five minutes later, she awoke from a supposedly deep sleep into a bug-eyed baby girl. She wanted to stay up! So, I sat and rocked her and talked to her a bit. Then, she started to get fussy, so I handed her to my mother. Kaylynn was laughing and smiling and having a good ole time. Then she started to get fussy with my mother, so my mom passed her to me. Kaylynn appeared to be extremely tired, but her disposition changed from fussy to laughing histarchly! She is four months old and she was just laughing and giggling for no apparent reason. She was just so happy to be in her mommy's arms. It's moments like these that makes motherhood so joyous. There is nothing better than the laughter of child.....especially when it's your child! Thank-You God for my precious daughter, Kaylynn. I love her so much!

My Baby...The Grunting Machine!
My child is a grunting machine. I bet she could out grunt any other baby. She grunts when she is mad. She grunts when she is happy. She grunts when she poops. I even think she grunts when she pees. She grunts when she is tired. She grunts when she is happy. I can tell what she wants by the way she grunts. Thankfully she doesn't cry very often. I think she has substituted grunting for crying. I wander if grunting is a higher form of communication skills rather than crying. I wander if grunting babies have higher IQ's. In any case, I love my grunting baby.

Motherhood
This blog is dedicated to my precious daughter Kaylynn Michelle. God has blessed my life with a wonderful daughter. She is named after both of my parents. I combined their middle names and came up with Kaylynn. My parents have been so supportive and they love being grandparents!
Being a mother has changed my life in so many ways, and I want to use this blog to document my experiences and emotions of being a mother.
