Happy 9 Months Kaylynn Michelle!
Today Kaylynn turns 9months. She loves to get into things that she is not suppose to. The "Forbidden" is so enticing to her. She can crawl, stand up, and walk around the couch. She no longer does the army crawl; now she can use her legs in the crawling process. Her favorite books include: Who Took The Cookies From The Cookie Jar, Miss Mary Mack, Down By The Bay, and Over The Meadow. She loves to wave "HI" and "BYE" and she will occasionally say the words. She loves to say "Baba" when she sees mommy making her a bottle. She will put anything in her mouth. She keeps her mama busy!

Kaylynn's New Friend

What???
Today, my mother took Kaylynn to Krogers to buy some groceries. Kaylynn loves to go grocery shopping! She loves to ride in the grocery cart. Kaylynn knows just about everyone who works at Krogers. They all think she is adorable because she waves "HI" and "Bye". The lady that works in the baby food isle is especially good to Kaylynn. When she saw Kaylynn, she immediately ran up to my mother (thinking my mother was me) to tell her that diapers were going on sale tomorrow. She saw my mother from behind and thought my mother was me. My mom was elated that the lady had mistaken her for me. She couldn't wait until I came home from my classes on campus to tell me the story. To make matters worse...my mother was wearing my clothes! I seriously need to loose some weight! I can't have my mother looking better than me!

One Happy Girl
The Amish Princess
My mother enjoys dressing Kaylynn in homemade dresses that she bought at a yard sale.
I call Kaylynn "The Amish Princess" because the dresses are so old-fashioned.
I think she looks adorable in just about everything, but I am a biased mother.
The dresses cost a quarter a piece.
With rising gas prices, a mommy has to pinch pennies somewhere!

Kaylynn's First Words

Ditto Baby Shakes The Bed
Ditto baby decided to show her strength today and shake the bed (while mommy was at school). Grandma tried to take a video of this little event, but she wasn't tech savy enough to pull it off.
Kaylynn is one strong and independent baby. She wants to hold her own bottles, and she wants to feed herself! She giggles when she stands up, and takes baby steps. She loves to be independent, but mommy wants her to stay a baby for a little while longer.

A Day With Mommy
Kaylynn and I spent the day on campus. My professor was gracious enough to let me bring my daughter to school with me. We sat in another room and watched my class on T.V. Occasionally, we would pop over into the other room for activities. Kaylynn was fabulous the entire day. She sat quietly on my lap and listened the professor while we were in the room with my other classmates. She played quietly while we were in the T.V. room as well.
Mommy brought a spread of toys to entertain Kaylynn while we were in the T.V. room. Mommy could talk to the professor and her classmates via computer. Technology is awesome!
Mommy was off-task quite a bit when she was in the other room. She couldn't stop playing with baby Kaylynn and taking pictures of baby Kaylynn.
Mommy even played hide-n-seek with baby Kaylynn. This is a picture of Kaylynn running away from mommy. She enjoyed crawling through the tables. Kaylynn loved exploring her new environment.
Kaylynn's First College Visit
Kaylynn Goes To College
Today Kaylynn accompanied me to a class. My professor was gracious enough to let me bring her to class since my mother couldn't watch her. The first thing we did when we arrived on campus was to see the huge water fountain.
She loved the fountain on campus. Mommy pushed her up, down, and around the fountain! Kaylynn was mesmerized by the flowing water.
Kaylynn thought the fountain was cool! I am sure we will have to visit the fountain again when she is old enough to run and play through the fountain.
