Miss Congeniality!
Today Kaylynn turned five months! Hurrah! AND today...she had her belated four month doctor's appointment. Yep, she celebrated her five month birthday getting shots! Poor baby girl! Before the yucky awful shots, Kaylynn made several new baby friends at the doctor's office! This little girl loves other babies! She smiled, cooed, laughed, giggled, and squealed! (Mama is thankful she didn't squawk or grunt!) My little baby girl got all the other babies in the doctor's office to smile and giggle. It took a good five minutes or so but she got all the babies to laughing and all the grown ups as well! This little diva is Miss Congeniality for sure!

Interesting Little Tid Bit
Kaylynn is soooooooooo funny! She loves to mimick when other people cough. This evening when my father was holding Kaylynn he started to cough. Shorty after, Kaylynn started to cough. Then my mom joined in and began to cough. Kaylynn started to cough again. Then I decided to join in on the fun, and we were all coughing on purpose! I think I have a little drama queen on my hands!

Learning about America's Presidents
One of my favorite things to teach Kaylynn is American History! I absolutely love to read stories about our heritage because she is learning about our history and I am relearning about our history! Some of my favorite lessons as a kindergarten and first grade teacher were to teach the children about the presidents. I have several books about the presidents and a few children cd's that teach all forty three presidents! Kaylynn will indeed benefit from my teacher resources! I love to read this book to Kaylynn when she gives me the opportunity! (Lately, she has been a little fussy when she sees me pull out a book. Reading tends to make her sleepy and she doesn't like to be sleepy! She has also been refusing her bottles because they put her to sleep. I guess she is going through a phase where she fights sleep!) I pray that titeracy becomes an important component of our day! I pray that she has a love of learning like her mother!

Precious Baby
Reading
One of my favorite activities to do with Kaylynn is reading books! I love to read her stories and she loves to listen to them! This is a photo of me reading a story about Yoko the Cat who brings sushi for her school lunch. All the other animals tease her about eating raw fish. I love this story because it teaches geography, sociology, and psychology in a fun story format that is interesting to children! I enjoy reading this story to Kaylynn because it introduces other cultures and different kinds of food! I can't wait to travel with her someday and show her the world!

Tuesday Toot
My Tuesday Toot: I finally found time to color my gray hair! Yes, I am thirty years old and I have gray hair! It sure is difficult to find an extra ten minutes during the day to color my roots! Working a full time job and taking online classes keeps me very busy. Plus I love to spend incessantly large amounts of time with my daughter. She is so precious and my number one priority! I treasure every moment with her!
Baby Kaylynn
My precious baby will be five months on March 27th! She is growing up way too fast! Enjoy this adorable clip of my precious baby girl!
