School was cancelled today! Yeah! I get to be a real mommy today! There is nothing better than being a full time mommy all day long! I love to be the one feeding the baby, burping the baby, changing the baby, and rocking the baby! It breaks my heart to leave her every morning to go to work, but it has to be done! I am fortunate to have my mother watching her and caring for her! However, I am excited to be the one who cares for her today!

Something New
Kaylynn Chillin In her Bassinet
I thought Kaylynn had outgrown her bassinett. I almost put it in the shed a few weeks ago, but I kept it out just in case. Now she likes chillin in it again. She likes something for awhile...then she gets bored with it...then likes it again. She will fall asleep in her bassinett while playing with her toys.

Einstein Toys
This is a baby Einstein toy that was given to me by a friend. Kaylynn loves this toy because it lights up and plays classical music! It also teaches the colors in English, French, and Spanish! This toy is so light weight that Kaylynn can pick it up and play with it by herself! She likes when we turn out the lights because her toy will glow so bright!
See What Grandma Did!
Grandma has to get creative when watching baby Kaylynn. Grandma needed to fold some laundry, so this is what she did to keep baby Kaylynn occupied for a few minutes. Kaylynn is what we call a high maintence baby...she refuses to take naps! (YIKES! SCARY!) She only takes naps when she is being rocked to sleep! (YIKES! SCARY!)

Chillin In The Swing
Bye Bye Mommy
Today as I was leaving for work, my daughter, Kaylynn started to cry. She is almost four months and she already realizes that mommy is leaving when she reaches in the closet for her coat. I saw her chin quivering and her eyes welling up with tears. I went over and I gave her a big hug and I told her that I would be home in a little bit. My mom told me that Kaylynn has been crying when she sees grandpa or I leave. I can hardly believe it! I guess she didn't cry today. (It was probably because I reassured her that I would be back!) I think my daughter truly understands a lot more than we give her credit!

Mommy's Little Flower
I am your little flower, Mom
Please help me grow and bloom;
Take the weeds, but leave the roots
And give me lots of room.
Mom, you are my gardener;
My sunshine and my rain.
Too much will make me wither
With enough, I'll bloom again.
I am your little flower, Mom
I'm different from the rest;
Do nÕt pick me Mom,
just help me grow
To be my very best.
