Snowbound & Enjoying Every Moment

School was cancelled today! Yeah! I get to be a real mommy today! There is nothing better than being a full time mommy all day long! I love to be the one feeding the baby, burping the baby, changing the baby, and rocking the baby! It breaks my heart to leave her every morning to go to work, but it has to be done! I am fortunate to have my mother watching her and caring for her! However, I am excited to be the one who cares for her today!

Kaylynn's Uncle Chad

Chad Michael

Kaylynn Sucking Her Thumb

While chillin on the floor, Kaylynn took a little siesta. Something different...something new...

Something New

Kaylynn keeps grandma hoppin throughout the day. Kaylynn thought it was so exciting to look at the world from a different angle (the floor)! She enjoyed looking at grandma sitting in the rocking chair.

Just A Wee Bit Tired

Kaylynn is getting a wee bit tired from looking at those stars.

Kaylynn Chillin In her Bassinet

I thought Kaylynn had outgrown her bassinett. I almost put it in the shed a few weeks ago, but I kept it out just in case. Now she likes chillin in it again. She likes something for awhile...then she gets bored with it...then likes it again. She will fall asleep in her bassinett while playing with her toys.

Baby Kaylynn

This is baby Kaylynn. She will be four months in eight days! Time flies when having fun!

Happy Girl!

This is my precious little girl! Grandma likes to give tickles and blow bubbles on her tummy before she dresses her in the morning. This is my happy baby girl!

Tuesday Toot

My Tuesday Toot: On Monday, I re-learned how to use a typewriter!

Einstein Toys

This is a baby Einstein toy that was given to me by a friend. Kaylynn loves this toy because it lights up and plays classical music! It also teaches the colors in English, French, and Spanish! This toy is so light weight that Kaylynn can pick it up and play with it by herself! She likes when we turn out the lights because her toy will glow so bright!

See What Grandma Did!

Grandma has to get creative when watching baby Kaylynn. Grandma needed to fold some laundry, so this is what she did to keep baby Kaylynn occupied for a few minutes. Kaylynn is what we call a high maintence baby...she refuses to take naps! (YIKES! SCARY!) She only takes naps when she is being rocked to sleep! (YIKES! SCARY!)

Clifford!

Kaylynn and I are watching Clifford The Big Red Dog. We go to the public library once a week to borrow DVD's. Why buy DVD's when you can borrow them from the public library??

Grunting and A Playin

This is Kaylynn grunting away while playing with her toys!

Chillin In The Swing

This is baby Kaylynn (almost four months) chillin in her swing, and trying to rip off those toys! She loves to grunt and babble while she is playing with her toys! She is truly the sweetest baby!

Bye Bye Mommy

Today as I was leaving for work, my daughter, Kaylynn started to cry. She is almost four months and she already realizes that mommy is leaving when she reaches in the closet for her coat. I saw her chin quivering and her eyes welling up with tears. I went over and I gave her a big hug and I told her that I would be home in a little bit. My mom told me that Kaylynn has been crying when she sees grandpa or I leave. I can hardly believe it! I guess she didn't cry today. (It was probably because I reassured her that I would be back!) I think my daughter truly understands a lot more than we give her credit!

Teach Me Mommy

Being an educator, reading is very important to me. I absolutely love spending time reading books with Kaylynn. She loves books with bright colors. She likes to grab on the pages and put the books in her mouth. I am trying to teach her letters, but Kaylynn will also listen to long stories without pictures. She enjoys listening to the intonation of one's voice.

Sweet Dreams

Kaylynn and Grandma taking an afternoon siesta! Kaylynn is so loved by her grandparents!

Chillin In the Playpen

During the day, grandma has to get creative when watching Kaylynn. This is a picture of Kaylynn chillin in her playpen while grandma cleans the kitchen. (The playpen is stationed in the kitchen.) Kaylynn will be four months Feb.27 and she already loves to play with toys!

Chillin In The Crib

Kaylynn enjoys chillin in her crib. She likes to yank her bedding and toys around. She grunts up a storm while chillin in her crib!

Kaylynn's First Baby Doll

This is Kaylynn's first baby doll, Rosie. Her daddy bought this for her for Christmas.

Gap Baby

This is Kaylynn sporting her cute little gap outfit that her great-grandma bought at a yard sale for $1! Now you can't beat bargains like that!

Mommy's Little Flower

I am your little flower, Mom
Please help me grow and bloom;
Take the weeds, but leave the roots
And give me lots of room.
Mom, you are my gardener;
My sunshine and my rain.
Too much will make me wither
With enough, I'll bloom again.
I am your little flower, Mom
I'm different from the rest;
Do nÕt pick me Mom,
just help me grow
To be my very best.
