Apparently Kaylynn rolled over for the very first time TODAY! Nobody saw her roll over, but she did because my mom laid her on her back (while taking a nap in the crib.) When my mom came back to check on her, Kaylynn was laying on her belly! Last week was Spring Break, and I was home all week with Kaylynn. I waited and waited for her to roll over. I knew this milestone was coming, and this little burger had to roll over when mommy was at work!

Kaylynn's Second Visit To Her Great-Grandparent's House!
Kaylynn and I took a little trip to visit Kaylynn's great-grandparents. What an adventure! The road trip was nice. (Kaylynn always enjoys a nice car ride even though she rarely sleeps! She jabbers the whole way and then is cranky when we arrive to our destination!) Kaylynn didn't take to well to her great-grandparents. She still has stranger anxiety when it comes to adults that she doesn't know. It took an entire day for her to get used to her surroundings and my grandparents. However, the following morning was rather nice. Kaylynn didn't cry when my grandma tried to hold her, and she even let her great-grandmother give her a bottle! Even though it took Kaylynn awhile to get adjusted to her surroundings, I had a fantastic visit with my grandparents!

Miss Congeniality!
Today Kaylynn turned five months! Hurrah! AND today...she had her belated four month doctor's appointment. Yep, she celebrated her five month birthday getting shots! Poor baby girl! Before the yucky awful shots, Kaylynn made several new baby friends at the doctor's office! This little girl loves other babies! She smiled, cooed, laughed, giggled, and squealed! (Mama is thankful she didn't squawk or grunt!) My little baby girl got all the other babies in the doctor's office to smile and giggle. It took a good five minutes or so but she got all the babies to laughing and all the grown ups as well! This little diva is Miss Congeniality for sure!

Interesting Little Tid Bit
Kaylynn is soooooooooo funny! She loves to mimick when other people cough. This evening when my father was holding Kaylynn he started to cough. Shorty after, Kaylynn started to cough. Then my mom joined in and began to cough. Kaylynn started to cough again. Then I decided to join in on the fun, and we were all coughing on purpose! I think I have a little drama queen on my hands!

Learning about America's Presidents
One of my favorite things to teach Kaylynn is American History! I absolutely love to read stories about our heritage because she is learning about our history and I am relearning about our history! Some of my favorite lessons as a kindergarten and first grade teacher were to teach the children about the presidents. I have several books about the presidents and a few children cd's that teach all forty three presidents! Kaylynn will indeed benefit from my teacher resources! I love to read this book to Kaylynn when she gives me the opportunity! (Lately, she has been a little fussy when she sees me pull out a book. Reading tends to make her sleepy and she doesn't like to be sleepy! She has also been refusing her bottles because they put her to sleep. I guess she is going through a phase where she fights sleep!) I pray that titeracy becomes an important component of our day! I pray that she has a love of learning like her mother!
