Silly Baby

Taking pictures of babies can be quite difficult!
I was trying to take the perfect picture of a happy
baby in a swing, but I couldn't quite capture her
perfect smile and good mood! So here are pictures
of my silly baby girl!

Kaylynn's New Toy

Kaylynn enjoys looking at the fishes in her new toy fish tank. She loves the bright colors. She tries to grab the moving fish. I just love watching her play and have fun with her toys!!!

Tuesday Toot

I finally completed some homework on my online course! I am working on my Masters in Special Education, and I find it difficult to squeeze in time for homework since I recently became a mommy to the most beautiful girl in my world.

My Precious Baby

My precious baby girl is growing up so fast. This was Kaylynn's first professional photo shoot taken at the hospital when she was two days old! Time has flown by! Kaylynn is approaching five months, and she is growing up way too quickly! My little butterball baby is blooming into a beautiful baby girl! She is listening intently to stories, and watching her Boz DVD's with enthusiam! I am just gloating how my precious baby loves books! She listened to me read for forty five minutes in one setting! We read stories about Davy Crockett & Baby Jesus. She also listened to other various children books. I am so amazed that she liked the book about Davy Crockett because it was sooooooooo wordy! I guess she loves to hear her mother's voice!(I am afraid she will outgrow this someday!) And I am soooo happy that she is being exposed to some authentic vocabulary!

Thank You Dear Lord

Thank You Dear Lord For My Little Princess!

Mama's Little SweetPea!

This is my little sweetpea all bundled up for her first outside walk! Last Sunday, we were blessed with warm weather! The temperature was in the high 60's, so I bundled Kaylynn up and we walked outside for an hour or more! The fresh air made her frisky and vibrant! I could tell that she enjoyed being outdoors, and her mama sure enjoyed showing her the outside world! If Kaylynn is anything like me, she will love the outdoors!

Organic Green Beanos & Orange Rootie Tooties

I am so happy that my baby girl loves her organic baby food vegetables! I believe we are what we eat! My heart shines bright that my little girl eats her veggies! Let's hope she continues to love her vegetables!

More Tummy Time

Kaylynn doesn't seem to mind her tummy time anymore. In fact, she loves tummy time! She enjoys reaching for her toys! I am so proud that she is able to push herself up! She will be crawling in no time at all!

Dr.Mercola

I subscribe to weekly newsletters from Dr. Mercola. I find his newsletters insightful and interesting. Do you like lemons in your water or ice tea? You might think again after watching this You-Tube video, and reading what Dr. Mercola has to say about lemon slices. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/3/4/beware-of-lemon-slices-in-your-restaurant-drinks.aspx I definetely recommend reading this article! Oprah and Dr. Oz have also talked about this issue on Oprah.

Mommy's Little Diva

Saturday's Showdown

Today was another girls day out! Kaylynn, grandma, and mommy had fun around the town! Our activities consisted of returning dvd's to the public library, buying diapers at Sams, eating at Applebees, and shopping (@ Hobby Lobby, Sally's Beauty Supply, Fashion Bug, Old Navy, and Books A Million). Kaylynn is such a sweet little baby when we go out. She loves to explore different environments. I rarely have any problems with Kaylynn, except we had a little incident at Applebees. Everything was going great. My mom was enjoying her lunch, and I was feeding Kaylynn her bottle. I could tell that she was having fun looking at all the stimulating colors. When my mom finished her dinner, she took Kaylynn so I could eat my dinner. Kaylynn was doing great until some friends came to our table. They wanted to see Kaylynn, but she wasn't too happy to see them! She started to cry and make a huge stink.....so we packed up my food and left in a hurry! I never seen Kaylynn act like this before...but I am surmising that she doesn't like strangers when she is in a strange enviroment! The rest of the day was fantastic! Kaylynn did her usual grunting and squawking. Everyone just looked at us and chuckled! We attracted so much attention from her grunting. She is one loud baby!

Trading Grunting For Squawking!

My little precious girl loves to squawk like a hyena every night between 6-9pm. Her squawks are quite loud and they are accompanied by a miniature coughing session afterwards. I call her my little drama queen. She has traded in her grunting (see link below) for loud squawks! Anyone else have children that love to squawk?http://kaylynnsmommy.blogspot.com/2008/02/my-babythe-grunting-machine.html

Camping Out

My daughter doesn't like to take many naps. Sometimes it is difficult to find activities to entertain her while she is up all day long! My mom and I made her a tent to entertain her for awhile. She thought it was fun for a good ten minutes, and then she wanted to do something different all over again!

Happy 4months Kaylynn!

Today my baby girl turned four months! She is growing up so fast! She is so precious, a true gift from God! I am so thankful to be her mother!

Homeschooling Lesson: Tummy Time

Kaylynn usually hates tummy time, but today she did a wonderful job of pushing herself up. I guess our homeschooling lessons have paid off! We have been practicing the rolling over motion, and this must have helped her to strengthen her muscles because look how good she can push herself up!

Wonderful Grandma

This is my mother. She watches my daughter while I go to work everyday. I am so fortunate to have my mother watching my child. She helps me so much, and she is terrific with Kaylynn. I learn so much from my mother who is absolutely wonderful with babies!

Sleeping In The Bouncy Chair

My mother watches my little baby girl while I go to work everyday. Sometimes I feel bad for my mother because my daughter fights sleep in the worst way possible. She even refuses bottles because they make her drowsy. We have a terrible time with feeding and sleeping. I guess she couldn't take it any longer and she fell asleep in her bouncy chair! Please feel free and comment if you have any similar struggles. I am an elementary teacher, and I believe in schedules and routines (but I am having a difficult time with my own child!)
